6-Days Uganda Gorilla-chimps and wildlife Safari
6 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale Forest National Park & Bwindi Forest National Park tour is a weeks-long Uganda Safari tour that takes you to 3 of the best national parks in Uganda for wildlife, primates and Gorilla tour.
This trip specifically includes the well known national parks of Western Uganda:
Bwindi National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park as well as Kibale forest National Park.
Day 1: Drive to Kibale National Park
Drive to Kibale: Pick up from Jinja and drive to the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking with the worlds’ largest population of Chimpanzees.
Arrive in the park late evening and connect to your lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland Visit
Chimpanzee Trekking: After breakfast on day 4, you will go for chimpanzee trekking
with your packed food and water. Meet your guide at the head office then enter the
rainforest to start searching for the chimpanzees, this will take 2-5 hours to find the chimpanzees depending on where they are feeding from that particular day. On seeing them, you will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees while taking pictures.
Nature Walk: After tracking you will refresh at the lodge then go for a
2-3 hours nature walk then proceed before nightfall, return to your lodge for dinner
and overnight stay at lodge as above.
Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park- a Park that never Disappoints
Drive to Kasese: After breakfast, embark on your drive to Kasese check in and have lunch.
Queen Elizabeth national park is the second largest national park in Uganda and a renowned UNESCO
heritage site with remarkable biodiversity. The flora and fauna in this park is inspiring and it boasts
an amazing ecosystem. A game drive in Queen Elizabeth Safari Park is a true discovery and a launch cruise on
the world famous Kazinga channel is incomparable.
Go for a launch cruise along the kazinga channel – renowned for its high crocodile concentration
and here you may spot various water birds and animals as they come down to drink and bathe.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Forest National Park
You will have breakfast and embark on a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector to search for the Tree Climbing Lions enroute to Bwindi.
Day 5: Gorilla Tracking
Early morning after breakfast, you will go for the Gorilla briefing from the
Uganda Wildlife Authority (wildlife Ranger Guides). You will be given a guideline
booklet which you will go through and know how you have to behave while in the forest
with or near the Gorillas. Bwindi forest is so spectacular and it offers a dramatic steeply
forested landscape which is incredibly dense, crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing
access to tourists to see the Gorillas.
Besides Mountain Gorillas, other mammals in the forest include the rare
golden monkey, buffaloes, elephants, black-fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard,
giant forest hog and a lot of bird species. You are reminded to take with you your
packed Lunch and water because the time taken to see the Gorillas varies according to the
movements of the Gorillas. The experience got from seeing the Gorillas is so exciting and
unforgettable. Return back to your lodge for refreshments and so on.
Day6: Drive back to Kampala- Entebbe
After breakfast you can now move back to Kampala. Enjoy your lunch in Mbarara.
You will reach Kampala by evening. Drop off at Entebbe International Airport to
catch your outbound flight. (We recommend you book a late outbound flight from 8:00pm)
